What you described is basically how it works in Canada I had to take 2 courses (for restricted) and if I were to own a restricted I need a range membership(otherwise why the fuck would I have one? Makes sense imo) I'm not saying we are perfect and we definitely have issues with illegal handguns (ironically alot are smuggled from the states) but it's wild so many Americans are chill with school shootings because an amendment that was written about likely black powder firearms not AR-15s. The other irony is where the fuck is the "my rights" energy for the ladies who just lost reproductive rights.
