I call them Berniebots because they believe anyone who isn’t Bernie Sanders is a libertarian/conservative/neolib with intentions to kill the poor/POC.

Go on Twitter and you’ll find yourself awash with people denying automation takes jobs, or believe Yang is a single-issue candidate, whose sole purpose is to gut the welfare system. The issue is that these words are further echoed by AOC, who also denies automation’s threat to society + “UBI is a trojan horse”.

They don’t think jobs are being taken by machines; they believe jobs are taken by exploited immigrants.

As I said, I was a big Bernie fan in 2016 because his ideas were, as you said, not the status quo. That being said, both he and his supporters procure the false narrative that all Yang members are white libertarian tech bros. It is here that I lose respect for his supporters, and consequently (can’t help it) Bernie himself.
