Andrew Yang urges global ban on autonomous weaponry

Samsung (Yes, the cellphone company) developed an autonomous sentry gun for the South Korea government to use at the DMZ. (Isn't the commercial kind of fucked up?)

I can't find the video of the interview, but it was a US military guy who went to a demonstration of the technology.

He asked if there was any human input on if it fired. The Samsung guy was like, "No, why would we spend all that time on the software if it wasn't going to be autonomous?" and the American was like, "Well, we don't think the American public is ready for computers to pull the trigger without input from a person."

And allegedly, Samsung went back and added in a feature were the gun identifies targets and a human has to give the okay to fire.
