For some, a Blue Blood in resurgence that made the Final Four will get more credit than a Gonzaga team that lost in the Title game and can't get over that last hump.

Like people loved Gonzaga for years as a Cinderella, but when the expectations got higher, the dropoff is more. Meanwhile, despite being the lesser team, UCLA overachieved because of the late run and the fact that most of us don't expect a Cronin team to go deep. Dude's got 22 losses in 2 seasons there and his seat was putting off a little steam before that run, not to mention his previous best tourney run was a Sweet Sixteen. So despite beating them last year, Gonzaga minus Suggs etc. loses more lustre. (For the record, I expect you all to be better than them again.)
