We can rage; it doesn't necessarily mean we see things objectively or correctly. If my husband were arrested with 280 pounds of pot in a state where it isn't legal, and I were on a TV show, I'd keep my head down. You never know what will be used in court, or how social media may influence officials in Arizona. (Perhaps unfair, but often true.) I can think of several scenarios where keeping your mouth shut is the best option. She's new to the country, on her own now, and doesn't need more trouble. But being a citizen means taking the bad with the good; we're all subject to laws and consequences, fair or not to us. I hope this doesn't affect Anfisa's residency status/citizenship down the road.
