Don't be afraid to try a show and drop it either

Yeah, that's what I do every season: watch every single first episode and then decide. Ironically enough, in my Anilist, I have more "dropped" titles than "watched".

The problem is that sometimes, due to personal knowledge, I have a "hunch", which is based on assumptions like the one I listed. Unless proved to be unfunded, I tend to feel this huge friction that prevents me from watching even the first episode of said anime.

An example is the recent Cyberpunk anime. I did a similar post, people confirmed more or less my assumptions, yet challenged me anyway to watch an episode. I did just that and... well, it turned out how I assumed in the first place: it wasn't for me at all.

I guess I'll eventually watch the first episode of Berserk as well. I was hoping that by proving my assumptions wrong, I could feel more neutral about it. Without that... I guess I'll keep it for when my PTW is really, really, really empty.
