Announcement - October and November Awards 2015

1) There's simply no such thing as a 'senior' mod on this sub, as in someone who can make unilateral decisions. I can't think of a single time a major decision has been made without some sort of consensus.

Here's what senior mod means: the longest serving mod. That mod can remove any other mod underneath him. That's what I mean by senior mod. I've been a mod of another subreddit for much longer than this one, and though I've had direct disagreements with more senior mods than me I've never once had any of them threaten me with removal because of it.

2) Speaking of consensus, although it was a m1327 who removed you, the decision that it'd be best if we moved on from you as a mod was agreed to by three different mods, with no objections.

Yes, I recall your sentiments on the matter, and was very disappointed to hear that. As I said at the time, I felt (and still feel) that my actions spoke for themselves. I am the most active and involved mod in this community and did a lot of good while in that position. The fact that the rest of you are willing to half-ass the job and agreed with my removal despite the fact that it was a complete overreaction isn't a credit to you at all.

3) The idea that m1327 would go on a power trip is absolutely absurd, I've worked with him for nearly three years now on this sub and have never seen that from him. His reaction to the things you said to him in modmail which won't me mentioned here were absolutely understandable.

I'm happy to copy and paste the entire conversation if you really want to go there, since I was being totally reasonable the entire time, and he was being his usual defensive and insulting self. And if I still had access to modmail I'd find previous instances of this behavior and post them as well.

Frankly, any potential new mods should understand what they are getting into. And you wouldn't even need new mods if either of you would step up and do even half as much work as I did.
