Messina (Popovich top assistant that interviewed for about 6 HC jobs and didn’t get any of them. Only made the short list on 2/6. Made short list on 2/4 last year.)
Becky Hammon (Another Popovich assistant that got a lot of press for being the first female coach to make the main bench when Popovich was out. Magically, that makes her a HC candidate in some peoples mind. And because a player gave her praise)
Joerger (terrible last 4 years. No playoff win in almost 5 years. Fired mid season. Don’t know why anyone wants him).
Adrian Griffin (another assistant with no experience)
Tom Thibodeau (did absolutely nothing with really talented young players and couldn’t contain Jimmy Butler)
Yeah, I don’t see any improvements over BD. Some people just want change for change sake I guess. Their like that guy on the golf course that gets mad, throws his driver in the water, then goes and buys another one as if it were the drivers fault he sucked.
