Worked a charter deck. This one couple would show up a few times a year on a Sunday. He tells me he's a preacher and is very pushy when he asks why I'm not at church. Numerous times throughout the day. I need to come to his church for salvation he'd say. As his wife would agree with a head nod and a way to pleasant creepy smile. I just smile and say sir I'm working today. He was very persistent about this. And as an atheist this was getting very annoying but I kept it in. Ima to each his own kinda guy. 4 or 5 Sundays of this later over a couple years he's at it again. Annoyed this time I said sir, I am in church look how beautiful this ocean and day is. There's nowhere else I'd rather be enjoying this day. Nature is my church. This beautiful science experiment we call home is my church. Not a wooden house or book of crazy dreams so please stop. That they did! They never came back!
