I'm curious what makes you think that it's more common than not?

Nobody can truly know since the legal definition of rape is pretty loose compared to something more cut and dry such as theft and murder where more concrete evidence can be used.

But the Innocence Project has attempted research (I say that because I don't care enough to do further research on it) that claims as much as 50 % of rape convictions are false convictions.

I choose to believe them because of their track record of helping to exonerate those who have been wrongly convicted of rape and other crimes.

That high of a false conviction rate is pretty alarming of you ask me. You'd have the same odds if the jury just flipped a coin to decide your innocence
