Anon goes to afterlife

Existing is exhausting. I didn't get asked permission to exist and now I have to do all this shit every single day just to avoid the pain of a slow death via homelessness and/or starvation.

I don't want to exist forever. Do you have any idea how long "forever" is? I'd run out of things to do. Then what? Go insane for the remaining infinity existence I still have left?

Afterlife can't be a utopia, either, so chances are there would still be some form of bartering or currency between people who exist there. I'd still have to "earn a living" doing something, probably. I hate working now; why would that change after I die?

If afterlife is a utopia where everybody can get what they want all the time without working for it, that implies something worse. People - humans - will always come into conflict. One person wants one thing, another person wants another thing. Even if it's not limited resources, it's another person's attention or love, or access to some other thing of interest.

If we live in a hypothetical world where anything anybody wants is simply given to them, automatically, then that means either:

  1. Everybody else is effectively mind-controlled to bend to your whims. This comes with the paradox of only being good for you, not all those other people. You could solve this by other people (who you would ordinarily come into conflict with) being relatively-mindless copies, or...

  2. You're effectively mind-controlled into not actually wanting anything anymore, automatically ending any chances you'd ever have of coming into conflict with another person for wanting something they have or something they are.

So any logical outcome of there being an afterlife is either a hyper-dystopian nightmarescape in which you and every other human who has ever existed are brought through the "pearly gates" and turned into completely mindless bliss-filled drones for more time than a human mind can comprehend, or it's a hyper-dystopian nightmarescape where it's basically just the same as our lives as Earthlings, except there's no reprieve to look forward to, and you'll inevitably go insane at the prospect of existing for more time than a human mind can comprehend.
