My dude. Mallorca is not whatever you expect it to be. Like all mediterranean islands, it's a desert where boomers and young white trash from Germany and England go to die and/or party.

I would strongly recommend Barcelona over Madrid if your heart is set on Spain. Spain is the poorest country in Western Europe by a MILE and it shows, everywhere. If you want warmth, Rome is a far, far nicer option. Paris and London are both leagues better if you just want the city life.

If you want INCREDIBLY cheap, like blow your mind cheap, but nice people and arguably the most beautiful city in Europe, Prague is your best bet. It has a lot of foreign exchange students too to get to know, just for this reason.
