In response to your first question, I get what you’re saying. But there’s a difference between indulging in different cultures because you’re genuinely interested in them and just appropriating it to fit your own racist idea of the culture. You can make and eat as many tacos as you want, but things like wearing a sombrero and carrying a rake in Halloween because you’re “a mexican” is a shitty thing to do. People did that shit at my high school and the Mexicans weren’t supposed to be offended? This post is literally suggesting the same thing, and while it’s just a meme that I myself laughed it, it’s not funny when idiot people genuinely believe it’s ok to be blatantly racist. Not everything is black and white brother, there are different degrees of racism. And it’s only victimization if it reinforces racist stereotypes that have legit impact on people’s lives. Just because people don’t complain doesn’t mean they don’t feel it. Some cultures are more humble and timid than others.
