It doesn't have to be all bad. I had a blast the first 7 or 8 years of working after college. In fact, I looked back a college as a major pain in the butt (of course I worked nights to pay as I went which meant all the bad part and little of the good part).
Having a dollar in your pocket can be liberating and open up opportunities for new experiences.
There are some drags that come with home ownership and parenting and of course, dealing with your job every day. But, play your cards right and maybe you can check out early. I was fortunate to retire at 53 -- and I have no plans to ever go back to any daily grind. It doesn't have to be the rest of your life. But in case it is -- make sure you find a way to enjoy the journey along the way.
