Another long-time moderator of r/starwars leaves the subreddit, citing "the nasty few who are ruining it for everyone", as posters clash in the comments

Rey is an order of magnitude more overpowered than either Anakin or Luke in their first movies.

Luke shoots a few storm troopers who have been ordered to let him escape, and then at the CLIMAX of the movie, makes a single good shot with his x-wing after having his butt saved by Han.

Anakin is introduced as good at pod racing, something we're told about him right from the beginning. He gets ludicrously lucky flying that starfighter with R2, and yeah that part is crazy bad and is played off for humor to a silly extent.

Rey is introduced as a hobo salvaging old starship scrap metal who is good in combat with her staff. Later on despite no training, she can fix and fly the millenium falcon from the get go to an incredible degree. She's instantly an amazing pilot despite nothing telling us she knows how to fly. Later she instantly learns to use difficult force powers with no trouble. She is far too good with a lightsaber for her first movie. That's all just for starters.

Its a real shame too, because they didn't need to make her super over powered. The movie could have been rewritten to easily take advantage of her existing talents, and then slowly awaken more in her as she earns them via the narrative.
