At no point did I say statutory rape was not rape. I said a 17yo lying about her age should not be considered statutory rape ....and thus should not be considered rape at all. True, I’m not sure this argument would hold up in an American court, so I should have prefaced it by stating it was my opinion. I just think it is a damn shame that the laws are written in the way they are — when again, there is nothing special about your 18th birthday. You guys are ridiculous.

Being related to an actual pedophile who has spent time in prison, is registered, and has had intensive therapy to treat this mental illness, I can say with absolute certainty that Ryan’s alleged actions are not even fucking close to pedophilic.
