Another Rev matching Query

Is rev matching healthy?

Pro - Rev matching will save some wear on your transmission. However, since changing a clutch on a motorcycle is pretty minor compared to a car, actual savings won't be huge.

Pro - Rev matching will reduce the acceleration/deceleration caused by gear changes, leading to more stability...

Con - Unless you do it wrong. If you over rev before releasing the clutch, you'll speed up when you're trying to slow down, causing you to drive into the back of the car ahead of you.

I rev match almost every single shift in my car, for maximum clutch/syncro life. But on my bike I'm usually actively causing my clutch to slip. If I'm shifting up, I'll be revved a bit high and accelerating as the clutch goes out. If I'm shifting down, I'll often be totally off the gas and engine braking as the clutch goes out. If I rev match at all on a motorcycle it's during really casual riding.
