This is Hank, I tell ya hwhat. My families always liked bassets, our neighbor happened to be a breeder and hers were always outside, the parents escaped once and my mom rescued them a while back, leading us to meet them and exchange numbers. My families 13 year old basset died about 2 years ago, I’ve been out of the house a year and wanted one for myself like right when I got out so I contacted her asking if they had puppies, she did not, but recommended someone who had em for like 600 bucks a dog.

About a month later she texts me back and offers me this guy that she’d specifically held from her last litter cuz he’s just so cute and lemony, apparently while they were gone at work him and his parents were fighting over killing a gopher in the front yard and a neighbor called the cops on em and since our neighborhood recently became city they told her to get rid of a dog to be in compliance, I of course said hell yeah gimme that dog and he is my first dog as an adult, he’s a stubborn, spazzy, attention hogging guy and I love him. Just as bassets should be lol.
