[Anti-Aging] Why do asians age more slowly compared to caucasians ?

This is a bit reductionist and somewhat reminiscent of liberals who will put their head in the sand when it comes to any discussion of genetic differences between groups of people we categorize as racially related.

Yes, race is largely a social construct in that we arbitrarily assign people to "races" and have largely inconsistent, socialized criteria as to how people get assigned to those races. Same with ethnicities, and sometimes we even muddy the distinction between race/ethnicity. And often, the distinctions we make don't really track any useful information and are byproducts of an institutionally racist system.

But it's also incontrovertible fact that some groups of people whom we refer to as a single "race" or "ethnicity" often have significantly different genetic presentations of certain attributes/traits than other groups of people. There are diseases, for example, that disproportionately affect groups of people society treats as racially or ethnically related: Tay Sachs often affects Ashkenazi Jews, Africans (who are often black) tend to be resistant to malaria, "whites" are more likely to get cystic fibrosis or malaria, etc.

All this to say, there is likely some mix of cultural and genetic reasons for why Asians, both in Asia and in America (i.e., Asian Americans), seem to age more slowly than other groups, not just in relation to American whites. But it's not all cultural, and there are definitely genetic factors at play, because Asian Americans often also age more slowly than other Americans, despite sharing the same culture. Some studies point to the buccal fat distribution in the average Asian face vs the average non-Asian face as one potential reason for this, and it's the reason I've found to be the most compelling.
