Anti-homeless poles to prevent the homeless from sleeping on the sidewalk

When I was working, I bought a new car, a few years later I had to get on disability, I also had to get some government assistance for a while, I had a teenager and a young child. When applying for the assistance I was asked straight out once why I had newer vehicle and In so many words, if I needed help I should sell it or return it to pay everything. So basically, there is no Uber here, no taxis, and the only 2 food stores are on a bypass without sidewalks. I would like to know how the government expects you to take your kids to school or other activities, the doctor, pick them up in the middle of a school day because they are sick, or carry groceries for a week from a family of 3, 5 miles away from your house. Things have improved since then but I can remember how I wasn’t treated over just wanting to keep my vehicle that I did work for and not go buy a POS, that wouldn’t leave me and my kids stranded in the 110 degree summer. When I see things like this post I think ,we the people ,are well on our way to getting screwed over big time.
