Anti-immigrant 'Soldiers of Odin' expand from Finland to Nordics, Baltics

Dunno, looks like there's a pretty strong resurgence of white supremacy going on right now as a result of this migrant crisis.

No white supremacist parties anywhere in Europe are leading the polls in Europe. We have parties like Jobbik and Front Nationalé which are quite popular (3rd biggest parties), but they have constantly disassociated themselves with racist groups or members and they focus more on 'the struggle against Global Capitalism' with an emphasis on social conservatism rather than 'make Europe completely white'.

And the predecessor to a lot of racial conflicts is scapegoating, and it looks like you've got that scapegoat.

Honestly the Muslim community isn't doing itself any favours when a minority starts bombing shit, creating paedophile rings and the majority starts self-segregating themselves into their own communities. We in the UK do a lot to help them integrate, but it's clear they don't even want to try. No wonder tensions are high.

I thought you all hated nationalism though?

Some determinately do, but they are the type of idiots who can't understand the idea that you can be patriotic without being a nazi or a racist. I am a proud European, and would call myself a European patriot - but my pride of my heritage doesn't mean I hate non-Europeans. If you integrate into European societies, you are a European in my eyes, regardless what colour or creed you are.

Reddit shares this sentiment alot.

Reddit isn't a representation of the whole of the World. Reddit is also massively American. If you get your views of Europeans on Reddit by other Americans...well you're living in a bubble frankly.

You know, us crazy yanks and our patriotism is so dangerous.

I personally admire American patriotism - I wish us Europeans had it, I just don't like it when you become ignorant and jingoistic and tar the world with an American perspective or have this idea that 'America can do no wrong'.

Demonstrably false

What is? The SNP (Scottish National Party) are civic nationalists.

The Soldiers of Odin have tangible ties to Nazism and have neo-nazi leanings. This is a fact.

I never denied that. But you were making the assumption that any form of nationalism in Europe = groups like these guys. Which is definitely not the case.
