Anti-vaccination stronghold in N.C. hit with state’s worst chickenpox outbreak in 2 decades

I was about to post in some off-color sub the other day because I was reading some pretty inane shit and wanted to rebut. The sub in question (I can't remember which one it was, I browse /r/all most often than not) provided a warning that posting in that sub would result in an auto-ban to a whole list of other popular subs because those subs were anti-whatever that sub was.

In another reply I talk about how these actions work to insulate and strengthen the opposition, and this is exactly that in action. I instead opted to not post in that other sub, because I don't want half of Reddit to ban me, and thus that sub is further isolated to run with their narratives unchallenged.

It beggars belief that anyone would think that this is effective in any way. All it does is insulate the opposition and sow resentment among allies.
