'Anti-Vaxxer' Mom Changes Mind After Her Three Kids Fall Ill

The U.S. Court of Federal Claims had to set up a special division to pay out people hurt by vaccines

from the looks of its wikipedia page, this court is just where you go if you have any no-fault claim, and it's existed since 1855. Saying the government was "forced to set up a special division to pay out people hurt by vaccines" feels very misleading. It would be like saying the government was forced to invent the library so your book club could read harry potter, when really, it's just one small group that wants to sound more important than it really is by suggesting that a very widely used service was only created just for them.

I can also find no reference to there being a gag order on outcomes. Actually the exact opposite, I find plenty of public records on cases that went through court, including the very few cases that were awarded money. If someone told you the government was issuing you gag orders, they're trying to scare you with "big brother is watching" buzzwords.

Of the cases where money was awarded, none had any scientific proof that vaccination caused their troubles. They were awarded that there was no proof vaccinations didn't cause anything, which then spurred a wave of studies to see if there might be a link that other studies had missed, all of which turned up nothing.

It's all just perpetuating paranoia, it's a big fad convincing people to sleep in the woods because their house might have a loose nail somewhere and that's just too risky.
