Compare COVID death for children to other similar illnesses…. You are giving in to fear mongering if you are actually worried about your children dying from Covid. the only children dying of Covid are obese or have another pre existing condition and even then it is SUPER rare.

You speak of risk mitigation in your response… so everyone should be able to mitigate their own risks (driving cars for example) but no one should be able to mitigate their own risk with Covid??

Does the government tell you when you can and can’t drive?

Or in the past when we have seen flu season kill +70,000 people. Do you think we should have been masked then? Will we be in the future? Yes masking can save lives… so can you know banning all social gathering of say 10,000 or more people in a compact area. So is not allowing people to leave their homes during an outbreak. The BEST way to prevent disease from spreading would be to isolate and kill everyone with the virus (to protect the majority)…. I say this to maybe help you connect the dots about self risk mitigation

When the government starts to mitigate individuals own risk and create laws because of it… we enter a slippery slope. One that can slowly but easily lead to a tyrannical government
