Anxiety during Marathon

Thank you so much for your kind reply! I really appreciate the encouragement. I have used running to help with my anxiety and depression so when it hit me on my run it really surprised me. I thankfully had my phone and had my husband talk me down. I didn’t want running becoming something else I was triggered by. As happy I was that I pushed through, I was a wreck emotionally for a few days later. I know you understand not wanting it to have happen again! A running buddy is such a good suggestion. I think I’ll make joining a group next year a priority (working on social anxiety) This year, I will have my phone on me as usual, and friends strategically placed long the run. I’ll definitely follow up with a race report and hopefully have some suggestions for others suffering with this.
