Anxiety over going to the gym?

People telling you that no one pays attention to anyone else at the gym aren't 100% accurate in my experience. When I see someone at the gym who is obviously just starting to lift it makes me proud and I think it's inspirational. I've been lifting a long time and every time I see someone in the gym who is clearly new (as long as they aren't doing anything that would hurt themself) it makes me reflect on how hard it was to walk into a gym the first time. It's strange how intimidating doing something like that can be, considering we're all just trying to be our best self.

When I first started, I joined a small 24 hour gym and went at obscure times when no one was there. That helped me out for a while until I became more comfortable with everything. You could try that?
