Any advice/tips from previous year 13 students?

I can only give advice for the subjects I did.

For Maths/FMaths it’d be hard for me to give advice because you’re all going into the new specification. For old, it was ALL about past papers. For new specification I’d say if you ever come across a question you don’t understand, keep going over it until you understand or find someone that can help.

For Chemistry I found Chemguide useful. Memorise the reaction pathways for Organic; knowing this back to front really saved time on those questions. This might not be for everyone and I didn’t personally do it but I think a deeper understanding of the Chem can really help - try to do Olympiad questions/access higher level textbooks to expand your knowledge. Do lots of practice questions. Past papers are quite similar to new specification Chem.

Bio is all disgusting tbh. It’s all about memorisation and exam technique. Slog, slog, slog.

Physics for me was also just a past paper job as it hasn’t helped too much. Learn the content well and at any point if you’re not 100% sure why the textbook says something don’t kid yourself; just ask the teacher.
