I think I come across as cold and intentionally stay that way with people who I feel want something from me for their own personal gain and aren't really interested in me as a person. I'll stay cold as well or be a jerk if I don't want to invest my energy in someone.

It takes a long time but when I warm up, I've been told I'm extremely considerate, nurturing and loyal. I have a couple irl friends who also like mbti and know me well (INTJ x3, INFP). They have seen things actually happen in real life and I mean, i have flaws- the INTJs think I'm all too soft and care too much about other people and the INFP (which was surprising) told me she initially thought I was cold but after living with me for almost two years, finds me hopeful, optimistic, caring, borderline naive and considerate. Don't get me wrong, she also thinks I'm way too controlling (cleanliness) and introverted. The last example would probably be from an ISTJ I was involved with for two years romantically. He probably knows me the best and same thing. I was cold to him at first but over time warmed up. I think if a lot of people read my Reddit comments and then the conversations we use to have together (ISTJ) it would be pretty confusing.
