Yes and no

When I get designer items I look at the overall investment. My day bag is an Hermès HAC (think a large leather square-ish bag). Very expensive, but I plan on having it for years, it can be fixed if something happens, and if I ever don’t want it it’ll retain its value if not exceed

For clothing/wardrobe items they don’t last as long and styles change fast. I don’t spend nearly as much on that. I’m happy wearing jeans, random t-shirt, and raybans

My advice to anyone: only get designer goods if you appreciate them for their quality and investment. Don’t buy expensive items just because it has a popular logo, but will last you a few months to a year
