Do any of you happen to be managers?

I manage a group of 4 its Ok. But if I led a group of 10, yes it would not be ideal because we need our time to work on our own. If they constantly interrupt you and ask you questions yes it’s annoying. This happens especially when they’re younger.

I learned in time some tactics though. I teach them thoroughly in the beginning and constantly encourage them. I praise them in front of everyone so when they feel self sufficient they don’t bother you anymore lol.

I’m very clear in the objective, the expectation and timing. But I leave them alone and expect them to manage their own time.

If I see a performance problem with someone I’m more likely not to keep them in my team. I don’t like time wasters. Or I don’t want to spend my energy with them if I think its a lost cause. I replace them with better talents.

I tease them, have fun but when they get lazy ass I make it clear “look wtf, I’m watching you keep it together”. I’m direct AND playful so we never lose that respect.
