My turtle is at the vet after I noticed she was unable to literally suddenly surface for air and she would fall over whenever she tried to swim to the top of her tank. So I took her out and she was not only blueish, she was also very swollen between her head and both her legs; that space there. Lethargic, and wouldn’t attempt to bite if I put my finger on her mouth, like she would normally do for the past 9 years.

She was out of the tank for about 15 minutes before her color started to come back and the last time I saw her, about 45 mins after she was out of her cage, she was no longer swollen or blue. She was in fact completely normal. I’m wondering if she could have been choking on something; maybe food. Like I said, she’s with a dr currently and I am home waiting for them to tell me to come back, but I was just wondering if that was at all possible and if anyone else had seen something similar happen.
