Any idea what this Shadowless Charizard is worth?

Nah I do actually. I probably have more equity in Pokémon cards than you do to be honest. Not a flex just most likely the truth. I’m just not so arrogant I can’t admit that there is not intrinsic value and like beanie babies or tulips the value is purely speculative. Therefore even being a rare item the value is subjective at best. With the recent price increase and subsequent retrace I personally believe regardless of short term price volatility to the positive this is an inflated asset class and this specific asset is very very very inflated and the market will most likely keep figuring that out as the price continues to retrace to eventually settle into a more reasonable and accepted level across the market as a whole. Capitulation has yet to grace us with its valuable presence. So again yes I actually do understand supply and demand but those are only two factors at play here when talking value. Actual value and what people will pay are two different things. I mean really you asked what it’s worth and just because people are willing to pay X for it doesn’t mean it’s worth that. Just go ask anyone who bought this same card 14-16 or so months ago. They thought it was worth more than what you probably think it’s worth today. Does that make them correct or you? Is it you because more people agree with you today? Is it someone else in 6 months when the price changes? Nah it’s like I said it’s speculative and subjective. There isn’t exactly a correct answer. When people figure out that this isn’t gold it’ll probably stabilize prices and there won’t be as much of an opportunity to make money. Anyways that’s probably a close enough explanation of why I said what I did. It’s not that I don’t understand supply and demand it’s that supply and demand isn’t the only or even the main factor driving price here...
