Some of my best friends are BAPS and I've been with them to the temple in Robbinsville (for context I'm a Sikh). They take the faith more seriously than other Hindus I know but they're still pretty chill guys.
I was surprised they sell food at the temple rather than give it for free. The temple felt more, for lack of a better word, "missionary" than other places of worship I've been. The guys also sit in the front and the women in the back.
All in all I do believe they take religion much more seriously than your average Hindu so be prepared for that. But again, the guys I know are chill af but their parents are more strict about it.
EDIT: So out of curiosity I serached the sub about it and found some interesting discussion.
