Any Metroid Prime-ish gmaes out there?

Aw, sad day. The Wii version is my favorite! At first, I was kind of frustrated with the wiimote + nunchuck, but after getting better acquainted with the controls, I soon realized it is FAR superior to a standard controller. Being able to quick aim where you want in real time is a god-send. So much so, it makes the game feel like it was meant to be played with the wiimote + nunchuck. It just goes to show ya how much a quality control scheme can really make a big difference in how one plays a game.

Back to your question, the HD PC version is great! Playing the game at 60 fps gives the a nice smooth animated feel. The only issue is that Capcom did not optimize this game well for PC. For example: some parts of the game suffers from slow-down, not lag choppiness, but literal slow-mo a la matrix/max payne bullet time. This isn't happening all the time, but just in small portions of the game, here and there during some battles where you come across larger groups.

Also, there is an issue in the cutscenes where the audio and visual gets a bit de-synchronized. I've done some research and have found that turning off anti-aliasing can resolve this issue, as well as setting the FPS to a fixed 30 instead of the fixed 60 fps (this is an option in the video settings). This same fix should also help with the slow-mo I mentioned before.

Aside from those two glaring issues, it's the same old RE4 you know and love. I've had a blast replaying it again on my PC with updated textures (most but not all), as well as playing with my XBOX360 corded controller.

If I had to choose, I would probably play the Wii version. That being said, I have enjoyed playing the HD PC version. I enjoy this game so much that I can't help but play every version that has been released (I have even played the mobile iOS version on iPad). The HD PC version is worth the time spent, if the occasional slow-mo and de-synch in cutscenes issues don't bother you, or if you can find fixes for them.
