Any more to add?

Interesting, there are still a ton of restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn that sell unlimited $1 oysters, I wonder if that has any connection of this once the harbours had replenished from overfishing.

I also dug a little deeper into this and found this interesting little tidbit about Charles Dickens:
