"most people aren't interesting" is the root of the issue! all people are fascinating, and have infinite depths, we just put them into boxes sometimes and never look beyond that to really see that depth.

a piece of advice that has helped me greatly: make a list of ten things that are great about several people in your life, and of your exes. shift the perspective to gratitude. that way, when you encounter new people you will actively be looking for the good qualities in them, and they will want to be around you because you bring out and appreciate the good side of them.

know your good qualities, too. what makes you unique? what can you say about yourself that no one else can? and be proud of that, and share it with others. the rest will come naturally.
