Any pointers for driver helpers?

Depends what you want out of the job but anyway... Ask what your driver needs and build a relationship, its much better working with the same driver. I did well jogging packages but the drivers always discouraged it though it obviously helped them.

Always verify the package you are carrying is going to the correct house, every single time. Pay attention to street names so you aren't just looking at house numbers too, plenty of streets have the same numbered houses. My routine was look at the address on the package and glance up at the address on the house as I was walking up (still my routine now as a driver).

As long as you don't deliver to the wrong houses and move with a sense of urgency you'll probably be requested back.
