any tips for a high school senior?

For High School: - Save money every chance you can get. You're gonna need it for the transition. - Enjoy what's left of your time in high school, this is the last time you'll all be together - Wear a condom - Study hard for your ACT - Don't drive drunk or let your friends do so - Prom isn't all what it's cracked up to be. I wish I wouldn't have spent so much for it. This is an opinion though. - Don't feel rushed into applying for college if you don't know what you want to do/study. Just focus on getting high scores for future applications. - Don't take out student loans unless you are fully aware what you're getting yourself into and working while you study.

For college: - Don't buy the books. There's a myriad of websites you can download them. Some classes it's just a professor peacocking his ego for writing a book. - Get ready to become a social butterfly because you're about to lose a majority, if not all of your social circle starting now. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there going into college. Join groups, say hi to classmates. - Become acquainted with cheap groceries. Aldi's is a godsend. - YouTube/Google cheap meal plans. - Use your college's online library resources for writing all your papers. Academic journals are the best references & you should have at least 1 reference per 80-100 words. - When writing academic papers, nobody cares about your opinion. Give them the facts (what's the existing research on the topic, who agrees, who disagrees, why)
