Don't know why you're getting upvoted. Your advice is completely wrong and biased.

There is absolutely nothing in the world wrong with learning on the electric guitar. I legitimately had to create an account because this is the most absurd, anti-music statement you could ever give a growing guitarist.

Play what YOU WANT. If you want to play electric, PLAY ELECTRIC. It's true that acoustic is initially more difficult, but that is a horrible excuse to start.

I started on acoustic and put it down for years because it was difficult. Then I started on electric. Now I play EVERYDAY and have played at least 5days a week, every week, for 2 years. About 6months in, I picked up my cheap yamaha acoustic with high action, and I could PLAY THE THING LIKE BUTTER. It was so much easier to play after getting comfortable with an electric.

This experience made me realize that most people who give up guitar, give it up because they start on acoustic.

Don't give bad advice.

There is nothing wrong with prioritizing electric first.
