Keeping populations from panicking about climate catastrophe, which at best will certainly kill the vast majority of humans, seems to suit the interests of those who are exceptionally wealthy. It gives them a little more time to continue enjoying the status quo, while they prepare themselves. If the masses were told the truth, without disinformation, that would quickly herald the end of power and wealth for those who led us into this situation for their own gain.

COVID-19 is a handy tool if one seeks to cause a partial or total meltdown of global finance. If supply-lines shut down too far, shit will literally hit the fan on a global scale. In that case, the only people who may escape some of the carnage are those who have already prepared for this kind of thing. But if shit truly does hit the fan, nobody will come out unscathed.
