I do believe canon is what keeps it together, but it also puts so many restrictions, there's so much that was lost in legends, and in games i think it's the best way to monetize, to give us what if scenarios that can't be carried out in the movies, instead of boring skins, i would love to be able to fight Vader with Nihilus, doesn't matter if it is not canon, but i would be fun, i think the games should provide more options for us to play freely and have fun, sometimes it feels like Star Wars is being held back by closed vision with goals in a checklist instead of letting new stories and ideas encouraged to flourish. I love Star Wars because as a kid it would captivate my imagination, and what i hope for the future games is to let people play out those epic duels they've always wanted to see.
