I think your point on porn is a valid one so I can grant that. The other stuff, not so much. If there were women showing interest in me who "have no future, watch tv all day, and not interested in marriage or children" I wouldn't be able, in good conscience, to think of myself as FA as anything but a description of my circumstance that I've contributed to.

I do think there is a point there in your comment. Obviously if some homeless, violent junkie wants a partner for a few weeks, an FA person is perfectly entitled to still consider themselves FA after saying no thanks. I get the feeling that a lot of female FAs are turning down men on grounds that men wouldn't dream of doing (but would instead accept and deal with) - eg not wanting to marry.
