Anyone "abused" sick leave to get let go when the time came?

It's a fairness issue for me. I'm not being compensated at the same level because I'm healthy and don't call in sick. I hate sick leave. I wish they had just straight pto.

I got probably 5k worth of sick at my hourly rate (pretax) I'm not just going to turn over. Old bob got to use all his. Plus if I'm canned for being sick to much I will be eligible for unemployment. If I quit I lose my sick and unemployment. It's math. It's cold hard emotionless math and money maximization.

Assuming they even fire me it's going to take a while as hr might even stop it as I have the sick leave. I think I've just hit the point I'm done listening to my employer on some stuff.

So to my question I'm wondering how this panned out for some people. Maybe we get some crap straight. Maybe I get let go. I don't know. I'm just to the point I don't want the current status quo.
