Anyone afraid to leave

It’ll be 13 years for me next month with Walgreens and 5 as a sfl. I’ve posted here before about how I’ve applied for asmt 7 times now, with the amount of knowledge I know and have weathered through Walgreens all these years and have been asked over and over why I’m not a asm. I’m convinced It’s not what you know it’s who you know as my district is filled with unqualified unknowledgeable asm/asmt. They don’t want people like me, maybe it’s my age I’m not young with a bubbly personality, but I get the job done and have the respect of my staff and fellow managers. I’ve tried and been trying to get promoted because as I said I’m not getting any younger but I’m to the point of just settling for sfl and instead of waisting my energy to get promoted to push for a different job. I have contacts at cvs old coworkers who jumped ship but I really don’t know if I want to make that move, it’ll just the same things over and over.
