Anyone have any experience with this specialized pitch expert? Starting out mountain biking and thinking about getting this one

The pitch is a basic, and kind of old-school XC bike. It's a solid bike, but heavy, not well equipped, and kind of expensive.

Now, if you need an XS frame, that narrows the competition. Still, you could do at least as well, and maybe better for the money elsewhere.

That being said, I needed an XS frame for my kid, I bought the base Pitch, and replaced everything except the wheels, saddle, and bars. The frame is surprisingly light for a cheap bike. The wheels have held up fine through two kids riding it, including a NICA season. With a proper drivetrain and fork, it's a very decent bike. But if you're not crazy enough to go that route, keep looking for other options.
