Anyone In Austin NOT hate their Apartment?

Not sure if I can say I "love" my current apartment/complex, but definitely don't "hate" it..

Things I LIKE: 1) My 12 month lease was up in July and when I renewed, THEY LOWERED MY RENT without my even asking or trying to negotiate. They dropped it from $837 to $807. Totally blew my mind.

2) I've left my truck with a CD player and a visible box+amp with 12" subs UNLOCKED in the parking lot for the last 18 months and nothing has been stolen. As far as In know there haven't been any vehicle break-ins since I've been here.

3) I love the location. A cab ride to or from Downtown/6th Street = $6.50 to $8. I put less than 1k miles on my vehicle in 2014 because most stuff is within walking distance and there are 2 HEBs within a mile or two.

4) Utilities aren't bad - I kept the thermostat locked 24/7 in the upper 60's to low 70's all summer long and my largest bill ever was $120

5) ZERO pest problems. I've been here for 18 months and have declined pest control everytime they've come out - Haven't seen a single roach even though I'm a slob and often leave food sitting out.

6) Place came with a full sized fireplace/mantle, built in book/record shelf, brand new appliances, tiled back splash, the biggest apt closet I've ever seen (can fit a queen sized mattress in it) and a large balcony with another big storage closet, a great pool/BBQ area and 24 hr gym access - for $807 a month.

Stuff I DON'T like: 1) Parking went from being over-enforced to not enforced at all - For my first 10 months if you parked here without a sticker for more than an hour: your shit was towed. More recently they've just plain stopped enforcing the parking policies and everytime I've complained they've said "We're looking for a new towing company and will start cracking down on parking "soon"" (Has been a real problem for months)

2) All of the electrical outlets are worn out and power cords juat fall out of them (This is really annoying but to be fair, I've never requested they fix them)

3) The apt was remodeled prior to my move in - they painted over the existing tub/tile and used the wrong paint or did a shitty job - So the paint peels constantly. I've never asked them to fix this either and from talking to neighbors, it's a common issue. Similarly - the bathroom fixtures (TP holder, towel holders, shower rod etc) all fell off the walls within the first week living here - just shitty work all around (never asked them to fix this either)

4) NO lights in the bedroom - most places have either a ceiling fan with a light or a light fixture - this place oddly has neither. There is a light switch but it only controls an outlet on the wall - gotta have a lamp or be able to find your way to the closet in the dark if you want to see at night.

Overall after 18 months I've really liked enjoyed my current apartment and haven't even been tempted to look elsewhere.
