Has anyone done the Mount Cobbler Plateau Circuit Walk or been to King River Camp?

By King River Camp, do you mean this private campground here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/King+River+Camp/@-36.8610711,146.375482,16.25z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x6b265754b5b17817:0x7058733fe592565!8m2!3d-36.861489!4d146.3773432

You can access it by 2wd no problem. If this isn't the spot you mean, try being more specific.

If you are talking about roads farther up the King Valley on the Mt Cobbler plateau itself, that is all 4wd and pretty rough country. The only 2wd road that gets you in the area is the Mt Stirling Circuit Road which you can read about here: https://www.ffm.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/26219/FS0025-Circuit-Road-Mt.Stirling.pdf

Lake Cobbler Road itself starts out as a 2wd road lower down, then becomes suitable only for 4wd farther up. Use common sense if taking a 2wd vehicle on it. A bit more ifno can be found here:

In the end, you will need a proper topographical map of the area. I like the Rooftop Adventure Map series. If you head to a retail outdoor shop, they may be able to help you with a map and further advice.
