Is anyone else almost kinda annoyed with the public now thanking us and the constant attention?

We're voted most respected profession every year, so it's not like people don't respect nurses. You're in the ER so you deal with more of the troublemakers, but still.. you've only been a nurse a year and you're already this angry at the world? It takes most nurses a decade to get to where you are.

The public respects nurses. That's overwhelming my experience. The current shitty situation we find ourselves in is not because the public doesn't give us the respect we deserve, it's because the greedy for profit healthcare system doesn't give us the respect we deserve. Once all this settles down, I'll bet the public that you don't seem to like very much will indeed have our backs and help make sure there are changes to the system.

You seem like you live to be annoyed. Again, you're annoyed if your patients are unkind and you're annoyed if they're kind to you. That's a you problem girl. I'll bet you have a history of complaints in your posts and comments. Checked, yep, you do. I also noticed that a lot of your posts in non nursing subs sprinkle in the fact that you're a nurse, even if it's unrelated to the topic at hand. You wouldn't do that if you really believed people didn't respect nurses.

Sure, the world isn't perfect. But you should lighten up a bit. You're going to look at yourself one day in the future and wonder why you weren't more joyful.

Clear enough?
