Anyone else always here takes out there headphones to see if other people around you can hear it?

I didn’t even know this was a thing people do... why?

I’ve sat next to many people on the bus and I can’t ever clearly hear what they are playing, just a muffled sound, so why is everyone here saying they’re afraid someone will judge them for what they’re listening to?

Are people really that self conscious? Who cares what the person on the bus thinks of you? They don’t matter, if they want to judge you for listening to music let them. You have every right to listen to music, as long as you aren’t blasting it then it’s completely fine.

I’m intrigued that so many people are this socially anxious. I consider myself to be a very socially anxious person but not toward strangers on a bus that I’m not even interacting with.

Also let’s not mention the music is louder when it’s outside of your ears, so taking them out isn’t an accurate representation of how loud your music actually is. The headphones with the cushions tend to cancel out a lot of noise for you and the person next to you, just get those.
