Anyone else have an incredibly strong innate desire to breed (but won't)?

A friend of mine (whose relationships have all been implicitly racist, but that's another topic...) wouldn't even entertain a conversation about AN because she'd wanted to give birth since she was a child. Literally her only reason. Absolutely selfish, and inconsiderate of her future kid.

I respect that a lot. Going against your biological urges and cultural conditioning is difficult.

Having decided to not have kids about ten years ago, that urge had atrophied over time. I still like to have sex like most guys my age, but I'm unattractive to the people in my culture and getting laid would be an uphill battle for... what? Orgasms don't last that long and most couples who stick together past the honeymoon phase are broken together in a way that's harder to deal with than being broke alone. The purpose isn't love, companionship, or joy. It's making kids and raising them to make more kids and being terrified of dying alone.

Not fucking won't kill me. Not having kids won't kill me. Not eating will.

So I eat.
